after the brief rant, which originated with yet another ugly political email from a former co-worker, I am ready to return to the topic of work!
Well, I was just interrupted by a phone call that completely changes the focus of today’s post. Let me back up and tell you a little bit about my job that is not in the About Me section of the blog. I was hired to be the Technical Trainer/Documentation Specialist for a technology company. I am developing our internal training and external training to our customers. Another part of this position is to set up a Knowledge Base for all of our documentation. The last assignment, which was supposed to be minor, is to moderate the forum we have set-up for our customers. I would guess that I spend at least half my day working on the forum, so much for the minor part of my job! I am attempting to learn the coding behind the board we are using so that the developer can return to working on the actual product enhancements. I am also wanting to apply some type of educational opportunities to this social networking experience.
Oh the phone call…can I please develop a webinar for the “How To” section of the forum and how soon can I have it complete? I would like this to be more than JUST a webinar, to make it fun, interactive, engaging and ultimately, have more of our registered users post. My task list for the next two weeks just got turned upside down.
