I had already started the Task Analysis process for creating the training for my company’s software when the documentation of said software was assigned to me, so in the effort to reuse as much info and set-up as possible, I am working the system documentation  and training development simultaneously as the material  will be the same base information.  The documentation will function as a reference guide for the customer and a supplemental training tool for the customers employees.  Training, for now, is geared towards internal customer support reps. The biggest roadblock I am currently facing, is, while the software is fairly user friendly, many options can be used in several different areas, so how do I task those types of things? As sub-tasks under the first appearance, a link in each section that they might be used so the info only appears once in the document?  Does this methodology make sense, or is there a better way to handle this type of project?

Also had the next internal training class added to my plate, which is fast becoming a platter!  That class was originally scheduled for next week, but because of the vacation schedule, put off until the first week of August…what a relief!

The lights in my new cube work. I have new pictures and the task breakdown hanging on the wall.  It is starting to look like someone actually works in here!
