why a blog? and why life part 2? as most of you know, the last year has been fairly eventful, living in a new city, failing miserably at a job, not living with new husband because of said job. Something had to change and is typical with me…everything did…well, almost everything! Kept the husband, just am moving him. So I am one month into the new job, one month into the new city and one month into expectant grand-motherhood (see I told you…LOTS of changes!) I want to accomplish several things though this blog – first and foremost, get back into the practice of daily writing. I have many writing projects in process and need the discipline to complete them. Daily writing, any kind will move that effort forward. Some of those pieces may be worked out here, but I view this as an opportunity to express things that will not make my work writing or my creative writing. Reason two – keep in touch with my friends. This is much easier than the weekly/monthly emails and has the bonus of being public, so I will probably be nicer. Last reason, work. I hope to share my struggles, successes, links to great idea places, interesting ideas, etc. and hope you will share those too.

As for the title….that’s the title of my book. I started writing it in Minnesota and have 3 chapters completed. I just love the concept of a shoe in the road…haven’t you wondered about them when you see them…how did it get there and where is the other one?

Anyway, I hope you will visit often, comment often. I haven’t made many design changes to the template yet, but that will be coming soon. See you then!
